Leave Me Alone
why don’t you leave me alone
because –
i cannot keep on giving you attention
there is no truth and no compassion
is all this about your anger for me
or is this about what you left abandoned
is it worth it –
to spend a lifetime in your pain
the type where confidence has died a death
where the repercussions have gone deep
and you can barely draw your breath
why don’t you just leave me alone
there you are –
chipping away at me
through a mixture of frustration and hurt
why don’t you stop hurting me?
