Not A Very Nice Person

you are not a very nice person
but then,
you know that
which is why –
you try to cover that fact up
but,
that very act gives you away
you are narrow minded
you see the world without colour
and despite what you say
you choke on its odour
you are not a very pleasant person
one,
for whom life –
doubtless ahs shown many lessons
though,
i doubt, many, if any
were ever actually learnt
you are not a very nice person
and you are very poor at covering it up
your selfish nature and greed
the way that life is never quite enough
you try very hard
but you are barely able to cover it up
