The Unknown Adventure
where are you going to go?
what will you do?
these questions –
they never actually ask
when you first, ‘pop out’
no one says,
welcome to the farce
no map and no guide
just a well of tears
and a funny feeling inside
when you are born
no one tells you –
that sometimes people tell lies
so cuddle that blanket
and count your teddy bears
because wild eyed innocence
can swiftly be felled by fear
in order to cope –
it’s good to have people here
when you first, ‘pop out’
there are no instructions or guide
no one tells you what it’s all about
just the unknown adventure of being alive
