Something Better

you are not a lover,
one,
left at the start,
three legged,
and with a broken heart
who do you think you are?
you are not a challenge,
maybe,
a problem not yet solved
emotional insecurity
that has not yet evolved
you were not left behind
nor did the creaky door
close in my mind
