A Little Tired
i get a little tired –
of you telling people –
that i have a form of autism
you do in public
and you do it in private
it is not true
and it is embarrassing
pure embarrassment
it is a form of control
a form of harassment
i get a little tired –
of you telling people –
that i am socially inept
that i am ill
i ask, why can’t you accept?
it is not very good –
to find out these things
i get a little tired –
of you telling people –
how awful i am
that i am ill,
and have all these things –
wrong with me
yet friends,
yet partner,
yet family,
yet work colleagues
find me not ill or even stupid
or even,
somehow autistic
of course for you,
it solves trauma and pain
so you force it
but i do get a little tired –
of you telling people –
that i have a form of autism
you’re fantasist
and a stranger to realism
