They Steal Your Trust
what happened to maturity
did it misbehave in class?
cause a commotion
and ever since,
found itself in permanent detention
so what happened to manners
where they learnt,
just by copying and not in fact,
by experience
did they scupper you at a younger age
only to be never seen again
did they climb of life’s window
or breakdown and cry in the street
what happened to maturity
did it get left behind
as adulthood boarded the bus
when somebody abandons you
they often steal your trust
