Nerves Tremble – Written May 2006 (Aged 31)

Nerves Tremble

a week before my wedding
the enormity of it all
it feels like the heaviest load
and my nerves tremble
nerves tremble,
and thoughts tumble
and hope, it stumbles
but it is rescued
by the welcoming hand –
of the future
as couples dance
to the sound of known waltz
serenaded by sunshine
protected by a moat
