Soft Paw – Written Tuesday 20th September 2023 (Aged 48)

Soft Paw

do people really want change,
or,
just to bolster the bolsters of specific agendas?
is this world,
one of soft paws
or is it one where now,
we devote our time to culture wars
do people really want change,
or,
do they just want to alter the minutes of the meeting
the paper once written,
bias, with which we are all so smitten
is this world,
one of soft paws
of claws which readily scratch
is the door into true equality
even on the latch?
are there shared ideas,
as we start to strike the match
to be truthful, i think people hunt in packs
i think there are monsters and there is fear
i wonder what truly hides,
within the societal see-saw
and i wonder,
will there ever be a world where we touch the soft paw?
