The Need To Stay In One Place

people do not like change
be good,
if things remained the same
didn’t,
just change lanes
after destinations,
change the name
people do not like change
ideas,
overgrown with moss
change,
forever arriving with some loss
people do not like change
rarely see the gain
only what is lost
and they cannot be rescued
as they hang onto what is past
opportunity becomes smothered
people do not like change
be good,
if things just remained the same
overlooked,
the glass like rain
caught in a past like picture frame
be good,
if everything did not change lane
but that’s just the nature of destinations,
change, clamber up its mountain
for many, the impossible situation
