Ripples In The Pond
it is never good –
when you see your own fragility –
float back to the surface
and this is where –
i stare into the water
wondering what lies ahead
and what lies beyond
and i remember that life –
is just the ripples in a pond
so, i look into the water
watching my fragility beneath
then it rises to the surface
reaching out at my self belief
and all my emotional intent –
lies at the bottom of the pond
like a rusty bike that was once well meant
others, i know they smile and act
in non dysfunctional ways
but my fragility floats to the surface
and then, it has so many things to say
