Tracks
impostor syndrome,
i know it to be a fraud
‘FOMO’,
can never pay for its bed and board
and, do you know something –
there is something in my dreams
that has extended claws
and on some of the lazier days my imagination –
is reluctant to complete its chores
because reality,
is governed by those unknown laws
but could i ask anyone for anymore?
not when my tracks are laid down
and i am left to run to the shore
because my ego and self esteem leave me bored
i am on my own in a place –
where i work hard, just making new doors
and then i open them to reveal all of my flaws
you must know why i landed,
and which way i am scored
