Free Markets Do Not Seem That Free
markets –
it would appear they are not the answer
that –
was once portrayed
and now,
free markets do not seem that free
with the workers locked in a cage
markets –
they promise so much
choice, solution, competition,
all drive down the cost
but somehow the cot is too much
economically,
it’s that short changed kind of love
markets –
they have given no answers –
to the places where accountants –
wipe down their dirty faces
where socialist ideology –
hurriedly packs its cases
in the end the markets save us nothing
it’s just workers working for small change
digging a ditch,
but it’s someone else who owns it,
and they’re the one who is getting rich
