The Busy Modern World
looking around,
self-appointed experts abound.
but is truth,
so easily found?
or is it more complicated than that?
change the outfit,
keep the hat,
people caught in the glare,
of always looking back
and the world feels like –
it is rushed off its feet
it’s busy looking for someone to blame.
but what use is an umbrella,
when you can’t spot a drop of rain?
and it’s clear,
people seem almost happy,
and they never seem to think –
their opinions may need some revision.
they seem happy,
to live in a world straddled by division.
there is clearly no desire,
to change the wealthy led mission.
collectively,
that doesn’t happen when no one listens.
so hold onto the dreams,
the ones that shine with optimism,
the ones that are caught in fresh morning dew,
because they are the ones that glisten,
and they are the ones that i want to share with you.
