This Is How It Feels
just…
stop doing this to yourself.
you are not a child,
but maybe,
i am a touch more fragile than i think.
right now,
i hurt…
but in a way that feels…
humiliating.
i’ve thrown it into the night.
it seems
i did not understand a thing—
just so hard,
they all seem so annoyed,
and not much
in any kind of awe.
but…
but my personality is a chore,
and my skills—
well, they are just a bore.
so close but so far,
a motto for this life
cuts me like a butter knife.
when will i feel right?
will mental contentment
return to this blessed life?
help me find a staircase,
that guides me to a light.
