Keep Me In Touch
I sat there
feeling overwhelmed
by the love and care.
I felt part of something
rather than a spare.
I sat there,
drinking,
a can of Coca Cola;
knowing that we were together
and so much older.
Stories have a taste —
even when
you feel everything
has gone to waste.
For a while,
I just wanted
to be caught in the moment;
those moments,
there and then,
hoping in some way
that in that moment
time would never end.
I sat there,
feeling overwhelmed —
but love,
so very loved.
Keep me close,
keep me in touch.
