pretending that these years
have not come to an end

that i once knew
doing well for themselves
but they had not changed

i saw the dreams
they were in stereo

in the playgrounds –
of you mind

people are mad
i tell you it is true
they are driven by demons
dressed in their past
their love barely shines –
through the permanent cast

so many pieces of me
so much to give
so little time –
in which we live

the letters these days
they are different –
they come in envelopes
with a solicitors stamp
legal jargon –
and a no thanks

i will not be held captive
in a call or room
emotions are the keys –
that shift with the moon
i will not bend my knees

is there a reward for clever –
these days –
you can do no better
than become a celebrity cult
or a word that sounds similar
