Out of Here
out of here
leave it all behind
i saw the dreams
they were in stereo
and they played out
in the playgrounds –
of you mind
the past is not –
what it used to be
the lights have dimmed
and the dancing ladies –
have left
out of here
stealing myself away
holding my breath
all these paper animals
that we decide to collect
leave it all behind
my hands are holding
and in them –
rests so much time
you could cross the road
find a version of you –
that is acceptable
it is hard, so hard
