another hero,
discovers,
that they do not wash
wowed by language
but wowed no more

Inability To Think – Written Wednesday 20th September 2023 (Aged 48)

i am not holy,
i am not real,
not in the way that we imagine
but our choices always have a certain feel

do not let the wax –
cascade down
be the person –
with a meaningful frown

my realism,
wears fake mink,
and dances uncontrollably with my imagination
as my dreams attempt to unblock a sink

and acid drops,
refresh my boundless sarcasm
humour is a hole filler,
never a chasm

the white knight,
rides once again
but my past remains a muddle,

i am getting there
not sure,
where there is…
but i know i am heading towards it

the one,
who made bubbles from troubles
and blew them into the sky

it does not matter which one
only that you care,
and that i am not undone

emotional labour,
has always been my steer
it encapsulates my effort
and raises a weary cheer
