I know that we are judged
Not on the path on which we have trudged
Or when we had to fight all alone
But on the worthless possessions we own
And as look at what each other has
Do we ever wonder at this stuff that we amass
No one ever really knows you
Especially when they claim that they do
They do not understand your path
Yet so often they claim to understand your craft
I know that we are judged
Not on the path on which we have trudged
Or on the crazy paving that we have felt
Or even the shiver that comes from snow that never melts
But on the worthless things we own
Not on the journeys in which we roamed.
