I took up crying
To get through my birth
Then again at six and nine
When destinations of happiness
Became impossible to find
And then again of fifteen
When I lost my mind
And I have been doing it
On and off ever since
Sometimes it is other people
Sometimes when it does not make sense
I took up crying
And now I can’t give it up
It happens when you’re down
When it becomes too much
I see that you are the same
Could we swim in our tears?
Could we wash away the pain?
We cry for the senselessness if it all
And there is no one to blame.
