thought about you this morning
just to quell my insecurities
i embraced your affection
and cursed my crazy direction
i turned over to face windows
and that 6:30am alarm call
another night of fits and seizures
and me feeling like I was in freefall
i moved slowly and with a thought
that at that very moment
the closeness of you was sought
i embraced your phone call last night
when it had felt so good and so right
i canāt comprehend this stormy day
we just need to push the clouds away
humidity sticks to my thoughts
and the daily routine soldiers on
we need a reluctant hero here
to save us from complete tedium
