Where are you going to go
What will you do
Who will you know
These questions –
They never actually ask
When you first pop out
No one says, welcome to the farce
No map and no guide
Just a well of tears
And a funny feeling inside
When you are born
No one says, sometimes they tell lies
So cuddle that blanket
And count your teddy bears
Because wild eyed innocence
Can be swiftly followed by fear
In order to cope
It’s good to have people there
When you first pop out
There are no instructions or guide
No one tells you what it is about
Just the unknown adventure of being alive
