Should I Just Let Go?

am i flogging a dead horse
have i lost a race
but still insist on running the course
am I sucking eggs
when i have already been taught
is this just the end of the sales
and everything has been bought
am I playing hide and seek
yet I was the first to be caught
am i just making snowmen
in this hot July
should I just be letting go
saying that final good bye
am I watching football
sitting there and longing for a try
am I just flogging ice lollies 
to those in the cold
am i making a substantial offer
for something that has already been sold
