Still You?

i still dream of you
as if you have –
never really gone away
and I know –
that what happened between us
was such a long time ago
but it feels like it is still here
somewhere in the folds –
of feelings that have matured
as they have become old
i still think of you –
as if I have –
never really let go
part of me remains unconvinced
yet part of me knows
yet part of me feels it’s right
of guaranteed perfection
feelings might supply the fuel
but rarely a simple direction.
