They Could Never Understand That They Hurt
they judge me
and never really understand
that the things they say hurt
they swim on my surface
and the pretence is clockwork
they serve me a dish
of something like perfection
but I know
they are running scared from rejection
i looked at their map
and questioned their direction
they judge me
and never look to see
how my heart actually beats
and my soul with its trickery
its circus act feats
they never realise
that what they say actually hurts
after all my lifestyle choices
become cheap within their eyes
and all my truthful voices
are no more than abject silence
