the girl who stole it all
raided a midnight dance
and manged to take it all
she was hot as she kept her cool
mysterious megan
visits seances in the day
she keeps quiet
till she has something to say
got to the astral world a day late
she apologised quite earnestly
she said, my destiny can wait
i want to be free
and i’ve got the time it takes
mysterious megan
makes the floorboards squeak
window frames rattle,
and wall speak
time wraps around her
like a cloak to keep her warm
she knows her life
since the day she was born
but she doesn’t know where she is heading
we can only ever be guessing
when it comes to the ways
