The Perfect Match?

The Perfect Match?

it may well be
a form of honesty
and i could roll my dice
and say, thanks, see how it goes
but it still hurts
and that is what shows
i should not be here
just to sell what i do not know
a future –
which none of us yet hold
a show –
for which there can be no booking
but the way she looked at me..
she wanted the, ‘classic good looking’
rich – successful man (I guess)
perhaps the loneliness she talked of
would be easier for me to understand
if she did not,
just judge on face value
i am sorry, it was not perfect
and i did not come up to scratch
perhaps she needs to reflect
and redefine the perfect match
