What Are You Going To Do With That Depression?

what are you going to do with that depression?
it has sat on your windowsill for some time
it started as a disappointment
and it has become something of a vine

what are you going to do wit those dreams
your box file,
it has no labels
and it will take a while
to disentangle all those cables

what are you going to do with that marriage?
have we not all,
clung hopefully to a horse and its carriage
stood in our selective church
left our dreams,
in the most regretful hearse

what are you going to do with those tears?
water that vine,
the one that grows on your windowsill
it is hard,
when all you can do is barely manage how you feel
