this is where anxiety melts

this is my therapist
see now
that deeply set frown
these books
this life
this hook
this internal fight
this is the peace i sought
but never found
the spirit of adventure
that refused to drown
this is my therapist
collecting me by the scruff
the times spent
the experience of voice and touch
