What Would You Like Me to Do With This Room?

what would you like me to do with this room?
maybe change the furniture
i could always try and paint and the walls
it has never been quite right, all this life
i have looked,
for reassurance and confidence
in my colour schemes
what do they want me to do
interior decorate and design my dreams?
no matter what i change
i am always left scrubbing the floors
wonder why it is all the same
insecurity, the wild animal
that tamers never mange to tame
mental health is on the brain
the collective hope can easily start to wane
