A Harder Edge – Tuesday 7th April 1998 (Aged 23)

A Harder Edge

a harder edge
a diamond for my friends
a dream that never ends
just be on the floor
then as lights go round and round
watch me leave for the door
it always changes with me
a harder edge
an altercation in my reality
it is no corruption of fantasy
a turn of the wheel
that turns fate
it is not too late to feel
but how long must we wait
before our dreams are real
a harder edge
a blacker curtain across my stage
as i remain partially afraid
i am so soft inside
that remains, just the same
