It Is Time For Another Day
my father’s ashes float away
we move,
to a different day
and perhaps, a different way
why don’t you come down the stairs
and catch the words we say
well,
i know it is time for me to move
and it could be to the left –
or it could be to the right
well,
it is you who always finds my sight
and then, under my stairs
it is you who turns on my torch light
then, on my clifftop
it is you who manages to fly my kite
especially when my hope is hungry
it is you who helps me take a bite
my father’s ashes float away
i know it is time,
for another day
