Parental Damage – Written Sunday 13th August 2006 (Aged 31)

Parental Damage

what mother
willfully imposes a condition
on their child
one they have clearly not got
one which the mother,
will not take further
if that was me –
and i found out –
in my young adult life
that i had been treated –
in this unforgivable way
i would struggle to understand
what human being
makes up conditions,
for those it claims to love
when did the barriers of reality
come crashing down
when did insanity decide to stay –
instead of just popping round
why would a mother,
want her child to be ill
is it attention seeking or –
a way to cover what they really feel?
