Capture

i wish i could capture
your dreams
and drive them away
i wish i could give you
a glimpse of sunshine
if only today
i wish i could show you
your beauty that shines within
i wish i could –
tumble out of grief
and take you away
to show you an area of self belief
i wish –
i could convince you
that you are talented –
funny and also, so beautiful
but they sound like cliches
and how will,
cliches keep anyone warm?
i wish –
i could capture
your dreams
and drive them away
