Making Do

settled down
with that early twenties dream
marriage
and several young screams
happiness,
vaulted just before
loss of light
and jokes,
about a vacant sex life
making amends,
has settled into making do
daring not to question
or turn on the light
or even look in the room
turn on the light though
and flowers may bloom
habit has a habit
of gnawing at your being
hindsight in hindsight
really is all seeing
sitting together
but clearly apart
the spark not lit
the pieces that once fell into place
now struggling to fit
