it is time –
to hold peace talks
with my past
it is time –
to spend some time with it
and work out
what we have in common
it is time to talk
maybe find a memory lane
and together take a walk
it is time –
i stopped wondering
if my past fits
of its value
is it poor, is it rich?
it is time we sat down
and decided to meet
take my past out to lunch
and decide what to eat
it is time –
to hold peace talks
