In the Chair

in the chair
looking back
knowing what comes next
pages turned
lessons not learned
hope to glory
but success another story
i look out
my windows have changed
sunlight stabs blindly
through the glass,
moonlight,
often goes past
is this where i am now
wonderment continues
but with a different glow
could i write
as i did back then
could i speak
as i did back then
could we go again?
