It is Always Someone Else’s Fault – Sunday 18th March 2001

It Always Someone Else’s Fault

it is always someone else’s fault
never your own
blame the scourge of modern society
blame those on a throne
it is a situation involving glass houses
and too many stones,
it is always someone else’s fault
laughed off with a patronising smile
and the shrug of the shoulders
with a little compliment at the end
just to dilute the hurtful passage
it is always someone else’s fault
you are just a pawn in their game
you are comfortable as nonentity
you are not to blame
you will use them and toss them aside
the paycheck has grown
and so has the despair
inside you are fighting to get out
i know you mean well
