A Successful Life

a successful life is hard to define
success is like confidence
it is a state of mind
and when my mind is a state
i know i am in for a deadly fate
tied up laces will not help me
if i have had too much cake
i know i am in for a hard reality

a successful life is peace inside
so simple, but hard to obtain
i could make it sound easy
but i know it never is
especially, when,
i feel less hit and much more miss
it is my state of mind
stopping clocks will not save time
a successful life is hard to define
