You Could Never Be My Vice

you have played as well
contact me when it suits
bullshit kiss and tell
i add you to my long (ish) list
of people who only take –
and never truly give
‘i want a cuddle’, you say
claiming, you want no more
when i was speaking to another
suddenly you knock on the door
yet when i want you –
or try to crawl back in
you push back –
and throw my words in the bin
it suits your attention
insecure as you are
keeping that poor self image –
in an old cracked jar
to be truthful, you are fake
and not very nice
i have a (long) list of faults
but you could never be my vice
