Tangled in Duvets and Sheets – Monday 21st March 2011

Tangled in Duvets and Sheets

sleep next to me
put your arms around me
tell me,
i am lonely once again
it is not the sex
or the games of power
it is about my self respect
becoming more fragile by the hour
sleep in my bed
cradle me
hold me in your arms
tell me that finally
i am truthful
and that this is my reality
let’s wake up
tangled in duvets and sheets
feeling the sunlight
upon our feet
let’s talk away the night
and cling to the words we speak
sleep next to me
start something we mean to complete
