You Do Not Know Me (But You Tell Me Who I Am)

you do not know me
but you tell me who i am
even in your silence
you put me in a place
where you think i belong
but you do not know me
and you have got it wrong

you do not know me
but that does not stop you
listening to others,
who do not know me either
have you ever thought,
have you ever explored?
i do not need the silence
or even the closed door

you do not know me
yet there you sit,
with opinions,
that just will not budge
it feels sad,
that you are so keen to judge
i am afraid you are wrong
and it can be only be arrogance
that keeps you hanging on
