Crawling Away from Love Poems

crawling away from love poems
thrown onto the fire
that you once lighted
crawling away from love poems
yet this seems to be one
but this one is barely wrote
my pen still writes in strange strokes
as the memories i have
and the experiences i live
make me turn to my writing
crawling away from love poems
which as much as it is therapy
encourages the constant hurting
which is never good for anybody
not lost in self pitying verse
not writing about a character
who is too used to hurt
have to get some perspective on myself

the decadence and the confidence
that i had grown
yet when she locked the door
i knew she had gone

yet in a strange way
this does seem to be one
