There Has to be an Answer
there has to be an answer
now you have left me
daren’t contemplate what i have done
the debris must be huge
nothing right, everything wrong
same crap, different day
the humour is never lost
i cannot afford for it to disappear
there has to be a reason
why you left me
why you went away
why i stalled
when i had so much to say
why it always goes wrong
why you abandoned us
when we were getting along
why you said you had too much
when you had not had enough
that is what you said to me
there must be an answer
but i fear it is so on its own
it must be terribly lonely
