Business World
smart suit, smart smile
shrieking and laughing
with odd plum like voices
that, oddly, seem to clash with everything
old halls of peeling paint
and drab post promotional pictures
corridors filled occasionally,
by strange overstuffed personnel
they talk blandly about foreign holidays
as some sort of status symbol
of how far they can get
because of the ladder,
they have dutifully climbed
with their ‘kids’ decked out,
in the parents ideas
behaving just like tom and jerry
the stuff they do is the stuff of nightmares
pretend world with false eyelashes
commercialised materialism
in this business realism
