Do They Not Know

do they not know?
do they not know or realise
we try to occupy our minds
boredom is a pain in the neck
satisfaction hard to find
working for respect
do they not know?
we are going out of our minds
love this place but not their homes
in spiritual segregation
people pretend and call
just trying to be something
perhaps something they will never be
but then you have to be someone
i am just trying to be me
do they not know?
that is all we want
do they not know or realise
that in everyone’s face
there is sadness in their eyes
