Theories That Were Never True

what do you trust
all –
your trust
is in theories and ideas
unlikely to be true
you trust and faith
should be in those who have faith in you
not –
theories that were never true
who was the first person
to let you down
and break that bond of trust
is it the case –
that the world
will be a conspired place
of wrong doers
and fitted fate
controlled by dark forces
who in shadowed filled rooms –
hold on tight
to their silver spoons
what do you trust?
