Fudge – Written Thursday 24th October 2019 (Aged 44)

Fudge

so at my age –
people still judge
and i meant to enjoy –
their fudge
but the taste –
is bitter and hard to swallow
their judgements
just feel hollow
they do not know me
so their appraisal
looks like changing addresses
and i am the removal –
as my eyes dance tot heir letters
so at my age –
people still judge
their guesses are ill prepared
and i do not enjoy their fudge
it has a taste for which i do not care
but those views –
rarely budge
so people lack insight
becomes a bitter fudge
people giving it out
have they got too much?
