she looked at me
i was sixteen all over again
wondering,
what the decade would bring
hoping,
she would want to dream
she looked at me
i was twenty all over again
wondering,
where it had all gone wrong
listening,
to each and every song
she looked at me
and i was here again
watching,
the birds flying from the trees
aching
on well worn knees
