Lover

how do you treat your lover?
from kitchen tops
to couch and then under the covers
how do you treat your lover?
as one of the oceans
last great lighthouses
or one of life’s great alarms
do you stroke their needs?
do you protect them from harm?
how do you treat your lover?
the surprise dream…
the surrogate mother…
the surrogate father…
a bath just for two
with so much lather
how do you treat your lover?
